March On-Day 4

Today was a good day. The students had a half day and my co-teacher had training, so I had the students to myself. After the kids got dismissed staff had professional development, and I learned stuff I am actually really excited to try out. I also joined the family engagement committee and will be helping out with the news letter. I chose to do the reading list section. PD also included some great tips on co-teaching, planning, and doing tight transitions. At one point I did get a bit down on myself over something that happened, and when the other teacher asked it sounded like she was accusing me so I started to get defensive. However, she assured me she wasn't blaming me and it was okay if I didn't know what happened. Oh! Also during PD, WB Mason had some tables set up and were giving out free samples. Let me tell you, it was like Black Friday and Christmas morning all rolled into one. I was able to grab a whole bunch of pens and mechanical pencils for the classroom. Plus some stuff for myself (including a window marker).

After work I went to look at an apartment. The woman renting was really nice and I ended up staying for a bit to chat, but the place or area just didn't click for me. Luckily I've been getting a lot of replies and finding ads quicker than I usually do. After the apartment viewing I had a date. It went really well, but unfortunately she is looking for something a bit different than I am. I still had a great time, and I am glad that I have been going on more dates recently. I haven't really dated frequently in a couple of years since I started seeing Daniel. In fact I'm very used to just jumping into relationships in general.

Came home, did some yoga, and and went to bed.

8/10. Points off for work stress.
