Emotion vs Reasonable Mind-The Constant Battle

It's sort of like this...

Reasonable Mind: "Hey, has texting someone 200 times a day ever turned out how you wanted? Has constantly hounding someone to predict the future EVER made you happy? No, because it's a lose-lose. If they tell you what you want to hear you question their honestly, and if they are honest you get upset. Sooooo, maybe try doing the opposite of what has never worked for you."

Emotion Mind: "NOOO I NEED TO KNOW THINGS NOW NOW NOW!!! IF I DON'T I WILL DIE!!"

Reasonable Mind: "But you won't die. You haven't died before. It's okay to feel feelings, just don't dwell on them."

Emotion Mind: "NO! I NEED TO KNOW THE FUTURE NOW SO I CAN PROPERLY PREPARE MYSELF FOR ANY TRAVESTY THAT IS MOST LIKELY GOING TO HAPPEN!"

Reasonable Mind: "Um, isn't that a bit like mourning someone's death while they are still alive?

Emotion Mind: "FEELINGS! EMOTIONS! SO MANY! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!"

Reasonable Mind: "Erm, it'll be okay. I promise. Just distract yourself and you'll probably forget what it was you were dwelling on, and if it pops up again just keep distracting. It's okay to accept if you're feeling a certain way, and pretty soon it will become easy and you'll be able to brush it away."

Emotion Mind: "BUT I HAVE FEELINGS NOW AND I NEED EVERY ANSWER TO EVERY SITUATION I'LL EVER BE IN OR ELSE THE WORLD WILL END FOR MEEEE!"

Reasonable Mind: "Okaaaay I'm just gonna be over here until you calm down."

Wise Mind (looking annoyed in the corner): "Can't you guys get along for once!?"
